Safe Neighborhood Review Board

The Safe Neighborhood Review Board (SNRB) is an administrative Board consisting of representatives from the following Divisions or Departments: Health, Neighborhood Services, Building Services, Fire, Police, Historic Preservation, Development Director's office, Area Commission and the general public. The Board hears cases referred by property maintenance inspectors and building inspectors.

The Board determines if a vacant structure constitutes a public nuisance. If the Board determines a structure does constitute a public nuisance, it may order that the nuisance be alleviated in any number of ways, ranging from securing of the building to the demolition of the building.

A decision by the Nuisance Abatement Board may be appealed to the Property Maintenance Appeals Board. The appeal must be in writing and submitted no later than 15 days after the service of the decision.

Please contact us for dates and times of meetings.
